Some interesting developments for the month of march:
It’s time to change jobs, I’ve had it!
If anyone is looking for a full-time, talented, funny, lactose-intolerant and efficient in-(power)house graphic designer, look no further!
Also, finally decided to get a life performance coach i.e. a therapist.
going through a lot of shifts at the moment and feeling uncertain 🤔
got lots of mental clutter going on right now, I need some help!
New things I did in March
Went for a Brazilian jiu-jitsu class, was very fun, might consider going for more classes 🤔
Talking to a t-shirt printer at the end of the month, seriously thinking about merch.
To-do list for April (might be too optimistic 🤔)
Make a zine using the office printer
Reminder to buy a cheap saddle stitch staple
Theme of zine: Feeling 💯 with 💯 in my bank account, use only emoji and text.
Finish website portfolio
Make/design a one-pager CV
Not much reading done in March, hoping to pick up more reading in april
Currently reading:
1984 by George Orwell
Finished reading:
3/5 frogs (average) for Cold Enough for Snow by Jessica Au
it’s okay, nothing to rave about.
Toenotes:
I think I might refocus some of my energy towards my career. So weird to focus on my career when I’m only working 9-5 for a paycheck. Trying to get in a place where I am paid fairly for my time. I’m done having conversations about providing free labour (shows how willing I am to go above and beyond for free→will get them to rely on my free labour and expertise→which will get them to think about maybe creating a new role for me to fill→then I am entitled to some additional coins) to management.
Once I churn out my portfolio, I hope I will be in a better place to pursue my creative interests comfortably. I might also make use of company coin to learn blender and animation? I think I’m just worried about not being able to leave my current job or perhaps I lack the confidence to leave a place where I am good at what I do (and it’s easy!)
End of March tune:
