Taken from the newsletter from my favourite site building platform, Cargo:
Our first hexagram this week is #46, Pushing Upward. Here, one of the most useful/lovely metaphors/proverbs in the entirety of the I Ching: “Adapting itself to obstacles and bending around them, wood in the earth grows upward without haste and without rest. Thus too the superior person is devoted in character and never pauses in their progress.” It is not easy but it is a polestar for sure, that is, to improve and work without haste and without rest.
There was one change this week, of which the specific note is: the confidence to accomplish comes from experiencing the strength of a few strong steps built on a strongly built foundation.
My strong steps include:
Going to therapy (I just started and I don’t want to chicken out, just putting it here so I can hold myself accountable)
Finding my inner peace
Taking care of me / Self-advocacy
A reminder to myself “to improve and work without haste and without rest.”
Not much reading done this month because I was busy:
Having thoughts (too much thinking, not a lot of doing unfortunately)
Redesigning and updating my website (feedback is welcome🔪)
Enjoying my new nespresso machine (9/10 experience, but the noise is something else!)
Recalibrating my 5-9 schedule/mindset
Going to take some time to focus on me for a bit, will try to post art but I think I might not be participating in booths this year. Not sure how I feel about myself and my art at this current moment, I also need to ease the pressure of making something. On the flipside, I also have to professionally develop 🤮 myself (unfortunately, I have to succumb to my 9-5) by learning Figma and something called “Collaborative Leadership”.

For now, only mundane things happening in my life, maybe the next newsletter will hold better things! We stay hopeful! Till I see you again! 👋👋👋
